A house for healing, learning, and being human
The Healing House is a brave and welcoming space to gather and deepen into connection with ourselves and other community members. It is a place where peace, liberation, storytelling, knowledge sharing, and creativity are valued and centered. Equity, access, kindness, and reciprocity are core values that are upheld here. We ask all who enter to respect our commitment to nonviolent communication.
At its heart, this means the Healing House invites people to show up as they are, without pressure or performance, and to find grounding in a community built on intention and care. When we gather here, we participate in a shared practice of slowing down, listening deeply, and acknowledging the worth and lived experience of every person who enters the space. The values named above are not simply aspirational, they guide how the space functions day to day, from how we speak to one another to how we hold space for healing, expression, and growth.
By honoring these principles together, we co-create an environment where people feel safe to reflect, explore their inner worlds, and support one another. The Healing House becomes more than a physical place, it becomes a living, breathing community shaped by mutual respect, compassion, and the desire for collective well-being.
Ways to work with the house
Our offerings are designed to support people in reconnecting with themselves, strengthening community ties, and expanding their sense of well-being. The center hosts experiences that encourage healing, reflection, learning, and creative expression. These gatherings create space to slow down, breathe, listen, and feel held by a community that values compassion, presence, and personal growth. Join us for trainings, workshops, and gatherings. Subscribe here to be looped in about upcoming classes and events. Below are some of the practices and offerings available:

Julie Becker is intrigued by impact, education, sustainability, and nurturing supportive and brave ecosystems. She attended Smith College and received a master’s degree in Chinese Medicine at The American Academy of Acupuncture. She has maintained a private practice in addition to working at United Hospital on the Penny George team for many years in St. Paul, MN. She also has supported justice impacted folks as they navigate birth and complex family dynamics while incarcerated.
Most recently, Julie has acted as a care coordinator and fierce Mama Bear while her firstborn son navigated brain cancer and transitioned to the great beyond. She is an MFA candidate in creative nonfiction at the Nasland Mann graduate program at Spalding University. She also recently completed a mentorship in Taoist Death Medicine with Randine Lewis and psychedelic facilitation at UC Berkeley.
Julie lives in NE Mpls with her beloved family on the sacred banks of the misi-ziibi. It is her hope to support others as they find the courage to be vulnerable, befriend both curiosity and fear, learn to love and forgive themselves, and process trauma with agency and support. Julie believes that without love, none of this would be possible.
